The Seattle Aquarium’s own 12th crustacean, Marshawn Pinch, was recently featured in a segment on KING 5 Television’s Evening Magazine. Watch the video below to discover how the scuttling back for the Seattle Searocks came into existence—and the story behind his shelmet!
As noted by reporter Kim Holcomb, Marshawn Pinch has enjoyed “a sea of publicity” and “tidal wave of support” from the 12s—not only here in Seattle, but around the country and even around the globe. “My shelmet’s off to the sea fans,” notes Pinch. “They really float my boat.” Asked to share how feels about winning Sunday’s NFSea Championship, Pinch waves the question aside, clams up and retreats into his shell.
Follow Marshawn Pinch on Facebook and Twitter for updates as he and the Searocks prepare for Fish Bowl XLVIII. Interested in learning more about hermit crabs? Check out the Seattle Aquarium’s hermit crab fact sheet!
