At the Seattle Aquarium’s recent Chairman’s Dinner, board member Linda Johnson was honored with the organization’s Scott S. Patrick Inspirational Award. Named for the late Aquarium board member and Seattle Seahawks executive who served with extraordinary passion, the award annually recognizes the Seattle Aquarium board member whose service best exemplifies the passion, leadership and enthusiasm which characterized Scott Patrick’s life and board service.
This year’s recipient, Linda Johnson, is a 15-year member of the Aquarium’s board of directors. As noted by immediate past board chairman Jim Gurke, her service sets an example that speaks volumes for everyone involved with the Aquarium.
Jim commented, “Linda is a humble person, never seeking the limelight, but always supportive of the work and accomplishments of others. Her passion for the Aquarium is evident in her extraordinary generosity—of her time, her talents, and her personal resources.”
He continued, “She has co-chaired our annual Splash! auction and served on numerous committees, providing leadership and sound judgment in such areas as strategic planning, capital campaign steering, and a host of other important areas. She is a true inspiration to us all.”
Our gratitude and congratulations go to Linda Johnson!
